This Memorial Day We Honor Those Who Died While Serving Our Country

Memorial Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, May 29th  this year, is one of the most important holidays in the American calendar. Observed annually on the last Monday of the month, it honors the men and women who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Concerned that people were not remembering the reason behind the holiday, in December 2000, former US President Bill Clinton signed “The National Moment of Remembrance Act.” The law urges Americans to observe a minute of silence at 3:00 pm (local time) to honor the heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the safety and freedom of our country. So, today, on May 29th, set aside those burgers and beers for a few minutes and reflect on all the brave men and women who are no longer around to enjoy the three-day weekend with their families.
If you can, attend one of the Memorial Day parades across our Rivertowns communities!
The agents and staff at William Raveis Legends Realty Group honor those in all branches of the military who died fighting for our cherished freedoms.
