Professional Association: "Real Estate is in my genes! My Grandfather owned buildings in Manhattan, and as a little girl I used to go with him to collect the rents. He would be proud to know that I am working in the business that he loved." A 33-year veteran in the business, Lorri is one of New York's most exciting real estate professionals specializing in residential properties (coops, condos, townhouses, lofts and rentals). She is familiar with all areas of Westchester and Manhattan. Her expertise has earned her featured quotes in real estate-related articles in New York Magazine, The New York Times, The New York Observer and New York Living. Lorri has achieved her credibility through her knowledge, perseverance and her tenacity. Her years of dedication have taught her that there are no shortcuts to getting the job done properly. "My secret is good, old-fashioned hard work!" Whereas it's always nice doing an "easy deal", she loves the challenge of trouble - shooting a difficult one. She developed her good listening skills and patience when she was a teacher of Junior High School kids in the New York City Public School System, where she had to find ways to read each student, recognizing that everyone doesn't learn the same way. Those are the same skills that buyers need from their brokers. Lorri is one of only a handful of Brokers who has a dual association license. She can serve your needs more completely if you are selling in Westchester and if you decide to go after that long-lost dream of a pied a terre or a more permanent residence in Manhattan. Or if your kids have graduated from College and have landed their first job in Manhattan, Lorri would be happy to find them their first apartment in NYC. She wants to be your FULL SERVICE BROKER, taking care of all of your real estate needs for your entire family. Lorri grew up in North Bellmore, Long Island, NY. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Adelphi University and a Master's Degree from New York University. She is a Certified Negotiation Expert,a designation earned by qualifying with a course offered by the State of New York. She is the mother of a son, Jonathan, who was recently designated as one of 50 Top Dentists in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He and his wife, Carolyn, are expecting their first child in November. She is also proud of her two step children, Steven (who is a comic-impressionist), and Jill who is a reporter for NY1, and who has given Lorri her first grand-baby. A second baby is due in November. Lorri is married to Marvin Scott, who is the Senior Correspondent for WPIX News, in New York City. In her spare time, she loves to travel and to do Crossword puzzles. She collects Penguins and Geodes (large rocks and minerals). Education: Bachelor of Arts in Education: Adelphi University. Masters Degree in Education: New York University. CNE Designation (Certified Negotiation Expert): New York State Designation. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors and The Real Estate Board of New York (which covers Manhattan).
