Carmen was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. While attending college to become a teacher, she also pursued a career as a singer-songwriter. Early on, she joined a large theater group that performed and toured all over Spain. At the age of twenty-four, she met and married her future husband and moved to Manhattan with him. When their two daughters reached the ages of six and seven, they decided to leave the city and look for a place in the Hudson Valley. When they first visited Irvington on the Hudson, they fell in love with it instantly. The bucolic setting of the elementary school at Dows Lane, the quaint, historical little Village, the greenery...It checked all the boxes on their wish list. Carmen has been living in Irvington for twenty-five years, always staying current with the real estate market in the Rivertowns. She herself has bought and sold several properties. She graduated from Mercy College with a BA in English Literature & Arts. She also earned a Certification as a Home Stager and Re-designer at HSR. She understands the importance of design and is well adept at applying those skills to either prepare a house for sale or help buyers realize the potential of their future home.
